Publicis Chemistry has created a campaign for Gü’s 10th birthday, helping the puds brand celebrate by thanking its fans and offering them the chance to design their own Gü pud.

The digital campaign will be supported via social media, in-store, on-pack and PR, and runs until July. Publicis Chemistry has designed a Facebook App to host the competition, which is accessible via the Gü page. It features an animated video, which features Head Chef Fred’s voice talking about what inspires him when creating Gü puds, and a link to Gü’s new Pinterest board where budding chefs can find more ideas.

Entrants need to be a ‘fan’ of the Gü UK Facebook page and name and describe their pud and tell Gü why they should win. One lucky winner will then get to create their pud with Head Chef Fred, which will then be sold as a limited edition in 2014. The winner will also take a slice of the profits.

The inspiration video will also be seeded online to encourage people to become a Facebook fan and enter the competition, together with a second animated video that celebrates Gü’s past 10 years.

Gü is celebrating the day itself by today surprising a number of its fans, who entered an earlier competition, with a delivery of puds or vouchers. A Gü branded van (complete with #happy10thbdaygu hashtag) will deliver puds to winners within the M25, with those outside the M25 receiving £10 vouchers in the post.

Lizzie Hanbury-Tenison, Gü Puds Global Brand Manager, said: “Here at Gü, we wanted to celebrate our 10th birthday by thanking the people who have made this milestone possible – our loyal customers. Since so many of them are members of our 120,000-strong social media communities, we couldn’t think of a better place to house and promote our birthday competitions.”

Publicis London has designed and developed a new socially activated e-commerce site abeautifulworld (www.abeautifulworld.co.uk), which launches today.

abeautifulworld aims to bring the world’s best kept natural, organic beauty secrets to the UK and was founded by entrepreneur Liz McCarthy, who previously spent 15 years working in international beauty marketing and advertising.

Publicis London has created a bespoke website for abeautifulworld, based on the Shopify platform, integrating third-party and custom-developed plug-ins to enhance the customer experience and provide the features of a luxury e-commerce brand. Additionally, the agency has given strategic support to the launch, including social and search optimisation recommendations.

Responsive design ensures an optimal customer experience whether viewing on a desktop computer, tablet, 7” tablet or smart phone.

As well as the online store, abeautifulworld will offer expert tutorial videos from beauty experts, fitness tips and nutritional ideas. It also aims to connect with its customers by asking them to recommend their own global beauty finds, which may then be stocked on the site.

Says Liz McCarthy: “The ambition of abeautifulworld is to bring the world’s latest developments in organic and natural beauty exclusively to the UK. Publicis has built a website that reflects the high-end nature of the products, and offers an experience on a par to the top luxury retail websites, and in doing so has raised the bar of beauty e-commerce in the UK.”

David Clarke, Publicis London head of technology, says: “Shopify provides a reliable, trusted e-commerce platform and access to a wealth of third-party plugins. This allowed us to focus on creating a great multi-platform experience and the innovative, high-end features that sets abeautifulworld apart from other retailers in this space.”

This is an example page. It’s different from a blog post because it will stay in one place and will show up in your site navigation (in most themes). Most people start with an About page that introduces them to potential site visitors. It might say something like this:

Hi there! I’m a bike messenger by day, aspiring actor by night, and this is my blog. I live in Los Angeles, have a great dog named Jack, and I like piña coladas. (And gettin’ caught in the rain.)

…or something like this:

The XYZ Doohickey Company was founded in 1971, and has been providing quality doohickeys to the public ever since. Located in Gotham City, XYZ employs over 2,000 people and does all kinds of awesome things for the Gotham community.

As a new WordPress user, you should go to your dashboard to delete this page and create new pages for your content. Have fun!

We’ve helped Depaul UK launch a new business initiative selling cardboard boxes to home-movers.

The Depaul Box Company allows those moving in to a new home to help those who have no home at all, by ensuring that all the profits from the sale of the boxes goes directly to national youth homelessness charity Depaul UK.

The boxes, which each feature the moving tales of real young homeless people and striking line illustrations, also act as another platform to share the work that Depaul UK does and the people it helps.

Rather than try to stimulate donations and sympathy, the Depaul Box Company simply asks people to buy a product they would be buying anyway, for a price that they would already be paying.

The Depaul Box Company will sell house-movers cardboard boxes competitively priced at £30 per pack of 10, £40 per pack of 20 and £60 per pack of 30. Packs are available at www.depaulbox.co.uk.

Thanks also to our friends at Clear Channel UK who donated £200,000 of media space for an outdoor ad campaign supporting the launch.

Publicis London and Depaul UK have launched a new business initiative selling cardboard boxes to home-movers.

Depaul UK CEO Martin Houghton-Brown said: “There is a real, visceral and often distressing association between cardboard boxes and those sleeping rough. The launch of The Depaul Box Company flips that association to a positive one. No one should have to make a cardboard box their home. Buying our cardboard boxes (http://depaulbox.co.uk/collections/boxes) will ensure nobody has to.”

Publicis London Executive Creative Director Andy Bird added: “In a crowded charity marketplace it’s difficult to raise funds by simply asking for donations any more. So we created a product that helps to raise awareness for Depaul and of youth homelessness, create a sustainable income for the charity and actually be of real tangible use to people, whether for moving home or as everyday storage.”

Publicis London Managing Director Will Arnold-Baker said: “Publicis and Depaul have a joint history of innovating. Our iHobo App broke new ground by actively involving people in the work of the charity. The Depaul Box Company goes a step further by creating a company to manufacture a product with indelible relevance to what Depaul does. Better still, it’s a product that everyone needs and one that costs no more than its competitors.”

The Depaul Box Company will sell house-movers cardboard boxes competitively priced at £30 per pack of 10, £40 per pack of 20 and £60 per pack of 30. Packs are available at www.depaulbox.co.uk.

Strategic communications agency MSL London has worked pro bono on the PR launch. The venture has also been supported by Clear Channel UK, which has donated more than £200,000-worth of premium outdoor media space to advertise the initiative.

The press ad plays on Renault’s French heritage and the zero emission (Z.E.) car’s silence to demonstrate the new feature – by showing a Marcel Marceau-esque mime artist pressed against a glass screen in reference to the Renault Twizy’s new windows. Under the image a strapline adds: “Renault Twizy. Now with windows.”

Publicis ‘Team Renault’ has created a striking press advert for the Renault Twizy model, advertising the fact that the electric vehicle now comes with windows.

The 100% electric urban compact two-seater was launched in April last year with open sides, but now also offers the optional extra of windows in the UK market, making it even more versatile and fun to drive.

Publicis London deputy managing director Jason Cobbold said: “The Renault Twizy is an incredibly fun car and we wanted to reflect that playfulness to let people know that the Twizy now comes with windows – something we’re sure British drivers will appreciate given the vagaries of our weather.”

The ad will first appear in today’s T3 magazine. Media planning and buying is through OMD.
