The agency, which works with brands including Asda, Cath Kidston, Hewlett-Packard and Orange, was praised for its turnaround and its offer of “compelling branded communications and content across platforms”. SCA is launching its first pan-European advertising for 82 year old tissue and toilet paper brand Tempo with a campaign developed by Publicis London. The campaign, “As Life Unfolds”, shows how Tempo is a constant, caring companion throughout life. The idea is executed through hand-drawn animated stories that unfold and fold on the back of a tissue, and builds on Tempo’s reputation as a long-established and trusted brand, whilst seeking to engage consumers on a more emotional level. Publicis London has been awarded a prestigious Gold IPA Effectiveness Award for its iHobo iPhone App created for youth homelessness charity Depaul UK. The Gold, one of just four handed out, was awarded at a ceremony in London last night with iHobo praised for reaching new donors. (more)

Juan Sheet, brand icon of SCA’s leading household towel brand Plenty, returns to TV screens this weekend in idents supporting Plenty’s sponsorship of hit ITV1 show The Cube. The sexy, Latino cleaning superhero is starring in a series of sponsorship idents, ‘Juan Sheet and The Big One Challenge’, created by Publicis London. They support the launch of Plenty The Big One, a new, larger product which aims to increase consumer uses outside the kitchen. (more)

The Mayor of London, Boris Johnson, has announced that global airline Emirates will sponsor London’s new cable car river crossing, to be known as the Emirates Air Line, in a ten year deal worth £36m. Publicis Chemistry is handling the creative around the sponsorship and also devised the Emirates Air Line name. (more)

Leading integrated agency Publicis Chemistry has scooped a Bronze Echo Award for its vinyl record DM campaign for Orange. The campaign took the Bronze in the Communications/Utilities category. The DM pack promotes Orange's Ready Deal package, which allows parents to buy a lump sum of credit for their children up front, which can only be spent in smaller, pre-determined increments each month.
